The Trial
This is carried out in my studio in Whistable, 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding day, it can last up to 2 hours. Sophie will discuss all your requirements, colour themes and skin type. Any makeup references you have, can be used as a basis to creating the desired look. You will also receive a skin analysis and recommended beauty regime in the run up to your wedding day. Following this, Sophie will then apply a suitable bridal makeup look, based on the consultation.
The wedding day
On the day of your wedding Sophie will visit your chosen location and will carry out a prescriptive cleansing facial, using a light exfoliation. This removes any dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth and glowing, in preparation for the makeup application. A radiant, flawless foundation base will be applied followed by your desired makeup look. The makeup should be applied 2 hours prior to the wedding ceremony.
Bridal party
If you have a bridal party (maid of honour, bridesmaid, mother of bride, mother-in-law and flower girls) they too can join in on the pampering. It is advisable to have a trial for at least one bridesmaid but it's not essential, and this should be carried out on the same day as the brides trial. The desired makeup look will then be applied before and after the bride on her wedding day, depending on the size of your bridal party.
False lashes
Sophie carries an extensive range of individual, cluster or strip lashes in her kit which can be applied to enhance the eye shape and makeup look of any bride and her bridal party. A patch test of the glue will be performed on your trial if you wish to have these applied on the wedding day.
Retouching
If you want the full luxury experience, you can have Sophie on hand all day to do any touch-ups or makeup changes from day to evening. This is an additional hourly charge and should be discussed at your trial.
Overtime
Overtime is charged when the pre-agreed time-frame has not been met, this is at the discretion of the makeup artist & will always be discussed with the client in advance.
Wedding hair
Sophie is also available to do hair on your wedding day.
